Winneshiek County Development & Tourism (WCDT), in partnership with Visit Decorah, the City of Decorah, the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce, Decorah Jobs, and the Decorah Community School District, is excited to share the Life in Decorah video series, a collection of long-form videos showcasing the people, places, and experiences that make Decorah a great place to live.
Created by videographer Sam Fathallah, the story-driven series offers an authentic look at everyday life in Decorah through the eyes of local residents. The videos highlight families and community members as they experience the outdoors, local businesses, schools, recreation, arts and culture, dining, and community events.
Located in the heart of Northeast Iowa’s Driftless Region, Decorah is a vibrant small town surrounded by rolling bluffs, trout streams, wooded trails, and beautiful open spaces. With a lively downtown, strong sense of community, thriving local businesses, outdoor recreation, arts and culture, and opportunities to connect year-round, Decorah offers a quality of life that is both active and welcoming. Whether you’re exploring for a weekend, putting down roots, or simply curious about life in a place like this, there’s always more to discover in Decorah.
